Aggregates are inert granular materials such as sand, gravel, or crushed stone that, along with water and portland cement are essential ingredient of concrete. Aggregate meet our basic needs for the construction of home and Commercial buildings, bridges, and roads.

SML undertakes Mechanical, physical and chemical testing for a variety of Clients on a wide range of natural and recycled aggregates to ensure they are fit for purpose. We also offer a thorough on-site material assessment and sampling service.

Our laboratory tests cover a wide range of road and pavement materials testing. The laboratory also conducts extensive asphalt testing to verify the quality of the material used by taking samples from the site to be tested in the laboratory.
